Here is a sample of some of the side projects I have worked on over the last few years.

Moonwalk

Moonwalk was a location based question and answer platform. As a user of the site you were able to ask a question to any other user of Moonwalk that was currently checked-in to a venue on Foursquare.

I created the product with Joe Mukai and Kevin Roche and helped evolve the product from an idea into a fully functional platform. The site is still live and capturing check-ins, but there is very little activity. In addition to the full site we created a mobile site and a working iPhone app.

Makemov.es

Makemov.es is an extremely easy way to plan your escape from New York on an NYC commuter rail. The site uses HTML5 geolocation technology to help users determine what time they should leave their current location so they can get to Penn Station or Grand Central in time for the next train, without a major layover.

The service works in the web browser of most popular smartphones and supports both Metro-North and LIRR lines. I created this application with Kevin Roche for the NYC MTA App Quest Competition.

Really Simple Scores

Really Simple Scores was a Twitter bot that would tweet the outcome of sports scores to followers. The goal was to create a simple way for casual sports fans to keep up with their favorite teams. Both team and league Twitter handles were set up so fans could choose what scores they wanted to receive.

Kevin Roche came up with the concept and did the backend development, and I did the front-end design work. The service was interrupted when the public XML feed that we used to get the scores was made private and put behind a paywall, but the website itself is still live.

Atla Resort Association - Into the Powder Print Ad

This was a print ad that ran in various ski publications in the summer of 2007. It was created with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop and was commissioned by the Alta Resort Association.

Atla Resort Association - Alta Vaction Planner

The Alta Vacation Planner was a direct mail piece created for the Alta Resort Association in 2006. The brochure was created with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
